Questions for Petunia

Again, thank you for the Petunia answers.  Also, thanks for the TED link.  Went to access it and it began to play, then was interrupted.  I attempted again tonight and each time [of 4 times!], my wifi suddenly went down and I could not access the web video.  Hmmm...what's this about?

So...I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the video.  [Wasn't it something about a New Yorker author who was a big "believer" of science.....?]

A) In this video it is mentioned that the current health care "deadens the soul." And it struck me that in Petunia's community it is about enhancing the life force of the individual, not just treating symptoms with big bandaids and never addressing the inner cause. It is almost a reversal of what we define as health care.



I've been playing with Petunia's responses all day; and was captivated by her "science of enjoyment"; what a fabulous shift from the current milieu  [or the science of over analyzation].

Thank you for these jewels and other insights you've encouraged me to play with.

Meanwhile, here are today's queries:



1)  In Petunia's experience, is "dreaming" [as we define it currently], more conscious?  For example, does dreaming occur when she sleeps?  When she is "awake"?  She mentioned previously the lack of "cultural time" and that sleeping is more fluid.  Is the "dream state" also more fluid - extending beyond the liminal borders of either sleep or wake?

A) In Petunia's experience they are very aware that the dream state and the waking state are basically two versions of the same thing. Therefore they view themselves as constantly dreaming. One of their most favorite activities is to group lucid dream, where they set up a dream landscape and participate together. It is not only as enjoyable as a vacation, it also strengthens the bonds between individuals, as each lucid adventure appears as a longer time frame, such as a lifetime of experience rolled into one evening, which would be their way to extend beyond the borders of normal waking experiences.



2)  It's beginning to sound [as I've always felt] that healing is a broad subject; and involves all facets of Life.  And our society often associates the term with corporeal situations.  Yet it sounds as though a Medicine of The Future involves working from the inside - out; that is, allowing and trusting  in a non-physical to physical connection.  Would Petunia agree?  And any further comments regarding this non-physical/physical connection?

A) Yes, Petunia agrees, and feels you have stated it well.


3) In Petunia's society, do doctors/nurses even exist as we know them?  Or is the "authority" of such roles transformed?

A) In Petunia's society there are not desginated doctors or nurses, but there are individuals who demonstrate a great talent as healers, and these people are recognized. It isn't a matter of an authority role just more a matter of appreciation for an individuals capability.



4)  Has Petunia lived in a community with technology?  Where is the most proximal community - to hers -  that utilizes such?

A) Petunia has chosen not to incorporate technology in her daily experience, but she is aware of many communities which explore technology in many capacities, and she visits when she wants a temporary new experience. Distance is not a factor.


5) Can Petunia - or others - rearrange their physical appearance in a "moment" based on conscious intent?

A) Yes. Changing eye color in a moment is the easiest.



6) Does Petunia - or any community members - utilize  sound in therapeutic situations;  say as we might use ultrasound to release gallstones.

A) Yes, they love to experiment with sound in a variety of ways, not just therapeutic, sometimes as a way to manipulate physicl matter. They often sing just for the pure enjoyment.
